STEPs Cluster Group Meetings Three cluster meetings took place throughout the duration of the STEPs project, one at the end of November 2004, one in May 2005 and the final cluster meeting was in the form of a Conference on the 15th June 2006. The aim of STEPs Cluster meetings were to involve delegates from appropriate directorates of the European Commission, delegates from member states and accession countries, representatives of national and international organisations with interests in the subject area, and delegates from industry and research organisations. There was a strong interface between the cluster meetings and the other dissemination and exploitation activities. Final Cluster Meeting The final cluster meeting took place on the 15th June 2006. The meeting was enlarged to form a conference taking place in Gothenburg, Sweden, it was also combined with the TRA Conference taking place on the 12th - 15th June 2006. The emphasis of the conference was on presenting the results from all the technical strands of the project, and on assisting in formulating the project’s conclusions. The conference was divided into two halves; the first half presented the results, and obtain feedback on their implications; the second half presented draft conclusions, which were discussed in workshops and plenary sessions. The results from the Conference were used to finalise the conclusions of the study.
